slivers of heaven
Nestled in rocks and dirt, a cascade of an infinite possibility of rolling greens, brindled with magical whispers of color — no other place would we rather be! If only for a little while — we are hidden well away — from the over heat, the buzzing neon life, constant noise and all things which relentlessly demand our attention. So we add what is wonderful to our natural environment to create a sanctuary — just outside our door — to disconnect to connect again.
Ahhh, a sliver of heaven, to tuck way-away, cradled by earth, a faint soothing sound of water and a welcoming shade — that holds a slight cool mosey breeze with hints of sweet scents of honey suckle, eucalyptus, Russian sage and lavender, drifting by to welcome us — as all good hosts — do. Our bodies smile. We are seated among the song birds and butterflies in play, under a canopy of rustling trees where the sky is reaching down — gently dappling through until the light glistens to kiss our face. Come. You are home. Let go, let go of everything — just be. There is nothing to do here — but breathe and rest, We are stopped. We are still. We are lost to the world — one with nature — for however long we need, or until this sacred place brings us back.
